Great Guy Games, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") built the Payback Arcade app for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and what choices you have. We keep it plain — no legalese.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

What We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account data — username, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Support messages — any content you send us when asking for help.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device info — device type, iOS version, and a unique device identifier.
• Usage data — game modes played, session length, and feature interactions. This helps us understand how the game is enjoyed.
• Crash & performance logs — error reports generated when the app crashes or underperforms.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Payment or financial information (purchases go through Apple's App Store).
• Precise GPS or location data.
• Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.

How We Use It

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your player account.
• Run the game, track scores, and remember your preferences.
• Diagnose bugs and improve the app.
• Respond to support requests you send us.
• Send important notices (e.g. app updates or policy changes) — no spam.
• Comply with applicable law.

How We Store It

Your account and game data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). Supabase's infrastructure complies with industry-standard security practices. You can review their privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Sharing Your Data

We may share your data only in these limited cases:

• Service providers — Supabase (database infrastructure). These parties are contractually bound to handle data only as instructed.
• Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
• Business transfer — If Great Guy Games, LLC is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as a business asset. We will notify you before that happens.

Multiplayer Features

The Payback Arcade app is currently a single-player experience. Multiplayer functionality is planned for a future update and is not active at this time.

When multiplayer launches, it will be powered by Colyseus, a real-time game server framework. At that time, we will update this policy to describe what additional data (such as session identifiers or in-game events) is processed to enable live gameplay. We will notify you of any material changes before they take effect.

Children's Privacy

The Payback Arcade app is rated Age 7+ on the Apple App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us at karel@paybackcardgame.com and we will promptly delete that information.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and personal data.
• Portability — request your data in a portable format.
• Opt-out — we do not sell data, so there is nothing to opt out of in that regard.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us below.

EEA / UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, your legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in providing the game service and, where applicable, your consent. You have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — especially when multiplayer features launch or if legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page.

For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice or email. Your continued use of the app after a change is posted means you accept the updated policy.
